Drinking Water Fountains
Having a drinking water fountain at the home, office, school and other public places is a great way to provide easy access to safe drink. There are at least four types of fountains that will be discussed in this section.
A bottle drinking fountain usually comes with the conventional format while there are others that are set up to be similar to a soda fountain. This type of fountain discourages drinking straight from the unit. This is ideal for children at home or in school for they do not have to place their mouths nearer to the spout. Instead, they just fill up the empty bottles that they carry with them. This practice encourages proper hydration and makes the fountain more sanitary.
With a soda or tap filler fountain, either filtered water can be used or the fountain can be hooked to a mains fed line. Installing a separate spout intended to fill up drinking cups makes the unit similar to its bottle counterpart. When installed in a school cafeteria, the staff can assist the children in filling up their cups or bottles.
A refrigerated fountain provides cool and fresh tasting water. There are at least three types with varied features in dispensing. The first two types have either small or large buttons to press in order to release water. The third type has an automatic function that enables the unit to dispense without pressing any button. The main advantage of the refrigerated fountain is the fact that it makes the water more delightful to drink. If the unit is capable of filtering, then it is more advantageous especially to places with bad tasting tap water and lead pipes.
A nonrefrigerated drinking water fountain is less expensive than the refrigerated type. It has the simplest design among the drinking fountains, with features such as a simple water spout, simple basin and simple releasing button. There are units that require a continual button pressure, while others are able to release within just a few seconds of employing pressure on the button.
Water Boilers
Boiling water via a kettle is the traditional way but is a very risk related practice. Accidentally touching or topping off from the countertop or stovetop a kettle with hot boiling water inside can cause burns, scalding and damage to surfaces and electrical equipment.
When boilers were first introduced in the market, they received a warm welcome with a collective sigh of relief. It is because the safety hazard that kettles pose will become a memory better left forgotten.

Water Coolers
The bottle less water coolers are those that are also directly plumbed into the tap water line. They are equipped with a built in filtration system that purifies the water and produces clean, safe and fresh tasting chilled water.
Water coolers always come in either free standing or tabletop models. It is up to the consumer to ascertain which model will better suit his lifestyle.
Safe and clean water remains a possibility with mains fed water coolers and water fountains for schools and other places.
Hot water boiler brands also abound and they are plumbed directly into the tap water line for a continuous supply of hot water. Thus hot water drinks and instant food preparations will always be conveniently made.
